Project details

Interior

The home was completely stripped back, with all-new wiring and plumbing installed for a fresh, modern foundation.

Energy efficiency was a key priority, achieved through thermally broken double-glazed windows, full insulation, and battened-out ceilings to create a thermal break, ensuring year-round comfort and reduced energy costs.

Exterior

Extensive remedial work was required externally, where rusted steel elements, including lintels, presented significant challenges. Large sections of brick walls were skillfully supported while the rusted steel was replaced, using innovative techniques to tackle these complex structural issues.

Local trades were integral to the project’s success, with render and plaster completed by skilled professionals living just 800 metres from the site.

The result is a striking, low-maintenance home that blends modern design with exceptional functionality, offering a resilient and energy-efficient haven by the sea.
